Fuad Ali

Fuad is a recent graduate of McMaster University's Electrical and Biomedical Engineering program. He started out in health tech, but his passion for using software to solve hard problems led him to internships at Tesla, SpaceX, Wealthsimple, and the CIA. He just moved to San Francisco to start his career as a software engineer at Twitter, where he'll be building tools to combat hate speech and misinformation on the platform. At SpaceX, Fuad wrote Flight Software for the Mars program, including mission-critical support systems for Dragon and Starship vehicles. Fuad is also currently a Venture Fellow at Susa Ventures, a seed-stage firm that has invested in companies like Robinhood and Flexport, supporting them at their earliest stages. Susa is always looking for companies to invest in, so if you know one, reach out to Fuad! On the side, Fuad runs the Next Iteration Podcast, where he interviews leaders in tech and business working on innovative solutions to the world's hardest problems. He's had on entrepreneurs and engineers alike and grown the podcast to be in the top 3% of podcasts globally by listener count. When he gets a bit of a break, Fuad's favorite things to do are trying new food with friends, spending time in nature, or curling up with a good book (hit him up with your book suggestions!).
